I founded new wave tattoo in 1979 - this was a very exciting time in the fashion /music and tattoo world - the mid to late 1970's saw a revival in teddyboy, rock 'a' billy music and fashion - teds, kats and rockers sported tattoos. This is where I first got my introduction into the tattoo scene - then came PUNK ROCK and this saw the birth of NEW WAVE TATTOO. I started tattooing punk imagery onto the disaffected youth around my town - the rest is history - I was lucky to be guided by such tattoo luminaries as George Bone, Ian of Reading, Brent of Dunstable, Mickey Sharpz, Greg Irons, Dennis Cockell, Leo Zulueta (to name but a few) and the KING OF TATTOOING - Don Ed Hardy - the single most influential character ever in the tattoo world - it was Ed who told me all those years ago "you are pioneering a NEW WAVE of tattooing" - and so it is thanks to ED HARDY my shop got the name NEW WAVE TATTOO. From the teds, greasers, skins, punks, goths, new romantics and every other fashion/music cult I am lucky to now have an established studio that offers every style of tattooing on the scene today. The studio in London's leafy suburb of MUSWELL HILL has a long waiting list - so if you want a tattoo from us patience is a virtue.
